Our Team

  • Our staff includes outstanding, caring and knowledgeable instructors with professional, college and/or HS coaching experience. As always,our student/teacher ratio is 8:1 or better. Pictured on the left is the 2017 Winter Super Camp coaching staff.

Our Home Field - Beautiful Fleischmann Park

  • Fleischmann Park in Naples, FL, is the  home of the JRBC. It is considered one of the very best baseball facilities  in Florida and the entire country. It boasts of five pristine baseball diamonds and six excellent batting cages.

JRBC History

  • The longest running baseball camp in SWFL, the JRBC has already instructed over 9,600 campers since 1988. Most notable alumni include Carmen Cali (L) and Chris Resop.  They are the first two athletes from  Collier County, FL to play in MLB. In addition, many more than 100 former campers have advanced to compete at the college and/or professional ranks.

Emphasis on the proper mechanics of hitting, throwing, fielding, sliding, base running and bunting. Assistance from current and former MLB players and coaches. Daily games are played to have fun,  to promote communication and to have a better understanding of team work on the diamond.

COACHING STAFF FOR 2018 WINTER SUPER CAMP

  • JUAN ROMERO- JRBC Director since 1988. Coach Romero, an Associate Scout for the Tampa Bay Rays, recently retired as the St. John Neumann HS Varsity Head Coach. Formerly an Assistant Coach at FGCU and Head Coach at Lely HS. His experience coaching the youth of Southwest Florida dates back to 1980.


  • JEFF TENBARGE- Former player in the Houston Astros organization. Also, a former Assistant Coach at Ave Maria University and Varsity Head Coach at St. John Neumann HS. Athletic Director at the St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic School.


  • RONNIE DECK- Head Coach at Northeastern College in Colorado.Formerly with the Baltimore Orioles at the MLB level as a bullpen catcher; he has also worked as a AAA coach with the Miami Marlins. Coach Deck also played in the Tampa Bay Rays organization.


  • Many more coaches will be announced at a later date! By the way, most of the coaching staff from the 2017 Winter Super Camp will again be invited to lead in instruction and games.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • What equipment do the campers need to bring?


  • Please bring glove, hat, bat, helmet, baseball cleats and turf shoes (NO metal cleats allowed  in the batting cages), baseball pants, T shirt, (jacket) and batting gloves, if desirable. We suggest that catchers bring their own gear, if available. Make sure that you have your name on all your equipment! We will provide balls, helmets and a limited number of bats.


  • Should we bring  food and drinks? 


  • Campers should bring lots of liquids daily. We do take water breaks about every 30 minutes. In addition, you should also bring a light snack to satisfy you until going home for lunch. Of course, water is also available at the site.


  • How do we register?


  • Click on REGISTRATION at the top of this page to register for all camps. Remember to complete and mail us the registration and waiver forms with full payment to be eligible. 


  • What is a typical day at the JRBC?*


  • 8:30 Players arrive
  • 8:45 Discuss agenda. Listen to a speaker discuss important topics such as nutrition, respecting the game, being a good teammate, etc.
  • 9:00 Jog, stretch, and agility exercises.
